Help Restore A Coral Reef

Shark Zen is helping to promote a project by Seacology to replant and restore North Carysfort Reef in Key Largo, Florida over a 5 year timeframe. Seacology ​has helped fund​ the Coral Restoration Foundation​'s efforts​ to propagate corals in​ its local nurseries and plant them to the reef.

The goal is to restore staghorn and elkhorn corals to the levels of 50 years ago with regard to density, coverage area, and proportion to ultimately create a self-sufficient reef with spawning coral, as well as a model for reef restoration around the world.
